Freedom Park on Camano Island — community playground and open green space
Camano Island, Washington

A Park For and By
the Community

Dedicated July 4th, 2003 — honoring those who served and the Camano Island community that made it possible. Privately funded, publicly loved.

Our Mission

A community institution, a patriotic memorial, and a living, active park.

Freedom Park was built by the people of Camano Island for the people of Camano Island. What began as a vision from community members in 2002 became one of the most ambitious volunteer-built parks in the region — a place where families gather, children play, and the spirit of service is honored every day.
