Lisa the Elephant

Lisa the Elephant

By Danny Koffman

An antique bronze elephant mid-stride with trunk raised — detailed and lifelike, perched on Sandy Hill as though surveying the park below. Lisa the Elephant is one of the park's most beloved and photogenic works, drawing visitors of all ages for a closer look. Children are encouraged to sit on her back. This is a tribute to Lisa the Elephant who "painted for peace" with Danny Koffman in Monterey, California, in 2004.
