Pearl Harbor Survivor Memorial

Designed by Rick Wesley to evoke the prow of a naval vessel, this memorial honors Pearl Harbor survivors and all those who fought for freedom. When struck, the steel resonates with the same sound as the inside of a ship's hull — a haunting and powerful detail that connects visitors directly to the history it commemorates. The memorial is central to Freedom Park's founding purpose: to honor those who served.
