Welcome to Camano Island Sign

In 2016, Danny Koffman designed the Camano Welcome Billboard and enrolled the participation of 30 Camano artists, each contributing a small piece of the picture. He then assembled the final installation — a collaborative community artwork that has projected the "Camano Vibe" for nearly a decade. The mural forms a giant map of Camano Island, digitally stitched together from 48 square segments created by artists from across the island.

The billboard also features local business sponsorships, with proceeds going directly to support Freedom Park. Artists involved in the project included Ray Fossum, John Ebner, Helen Saunders, Dotti Burton, Dale LeMaster, Molly LeMaster, Sally Chang, Lee Beitz, Mary Simmons, Kathy Dannerbeck, Marie-Claire Dole, Karla Matzke, Frank Renlie, Betty Dorotik, Chris Tuohy, Jack Gunter, Roger Cocke, Opal Cocke, Nicki Wight, Michele Rushworth, Linda Demetre, Liz Hamlin, Susan Cohen Thompson, Chain Bezalel-Levy, Yonnah Bezalel-Levy, Mark Ellinger, Danny Koffman, Nikki Yamamoto, and Suki Guzinski.
